Caramel Puff Corn

I got this recipe from my friend Cheryl while working at Campus High.  My friends, Tom and Jacque, have since named it "crack"!


3 bags of Cheetos butter corn puff /pops – blue bag, $2 a bag
Empty puffs in an extra large mixing bowl
Preheat oven to 250 degrees

In a large sauce pan add:
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup white corn syrup
Bring to a boil, turn heat down and simmer for five minutes.


Stir into syrup mixture:
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
Mixture will foam up………………pour over puffs and stir until well coated. 
Bake in a large roaster or 2 13x9 pans sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake for 45 minutes and stir every 15 minutes.  Cool and store in a covered container.
